May 27, 2024, at 14:00-16:00, the Ceremony of Awarding the Honorary Degree of Dr. HC from Universitas Sumatera Utara to Mr. Soedjai Kartasasmita Honorary Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa in the Field of Plantation took place. The event was held at the Digital Learning Center Building (DLCB) 8th Floor. Jln. Dr. Mansyur No. 9 Campus of Universitas Sumatera Utara. Mr. Soedjai wrote a dissertation entitled “Plantation Development as an Agent of Sustainable Development”. Mr. Soedjai Kartasasmita was born in Bandung, November 26, 1926. In addition to having many experiences and awards that have been achieved, Mr. Soedjai also has a photography hobby.

The Senate of the Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Board of Trustees of the Universitas Sumatera Utara have given the approval and request the Rector to inaugurate as Dr. HC of the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
