Universitas Sumatera Utara memperketat pengawasan UTBK-SNBT 2026 sejak hari pertama guna memastikan seleksi berlangsung jujur, transparan, dan bebas dari praktik kecurangan

The Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2026 at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially commenced on Tuesday (April 21, 2026). From the first day, strict supervision has been implemented to ensure the selection process is conducted with high integrity.

The Rector of USU, Muryanto Amin, along with the Vice Rectors and the organizing committee, conducted direct inspections at several examination venues. These included the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and the Faculty of Dentistry.

The inspection focused on verifying participants’ data, particularly identifying irregular or suspicious entries that may indicate anomalies. This measure was taken as a preventive effort against potential misconduct, including impersonation practices that have occurred in previous examinations.

This year, the total number of UTBK-SNBT participants at USU reached 36,771, distributed across three test locations: Medan, Nias–Gunungsitoli, and Nias–Teluk Dalam. Meanwhile, the total admission quota for SNBT 2026 at USU is 3,008 seats, consisting of 2,534 undergraduate programs, 274 applied undergraduate programs, and 200 diploma programs.

The SNBT selection results are scheduled to be announced on May 25, 2026. Participants who have completed the test will be able to download their UTBK certificates from June 2 to July 31, 2026. Through well-organized implementation and strict supervision, USU hopes that the entire UTBK-SNBT process this year will run smoothly, transparently, and provide equal opportunities for all participants to access higher education.
