The homecoming was conducted by the Director of Educational Development and the KKN-T coordinating team at the Naman Teran Subdistrict Office as the conclusion of the student community service program.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially carried out the return of students who had completed their Thematic Community Service (KKN-T) under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The students concluded their assignments in several villages across Karo Regency and returned to campus on July 8, 2025.

The student reception occurred at the Naman Teran Subdistrict Office and was attended by USU’s Director of Educational Development, Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., and the KKN-T coordination team.

On this occasion, the university expressed its highest appreciation and gratitude to the Government of Karo Regency for its continuous support, facilitation, and cooperation, which ensured the smooth implementation of KKN-T and its meaningful impact on local communities.

Through the KKN-T program, USU remains committed to contributing actively to regional development while providing students with opportunities to apply their academic knowledge and skills directly within communities.

USU also extends its thanks to all stakeholders who supported the program’s implementation, especially the Karo Regency Government, village authorities, and the local communities who warmly welcomed and supported the students throughout the program.
