USU Welcomes SMA Islam Plus Adzkia’s Visit for Higher Education Outreach

The Directorate of Education Development of USU welcomed the visit of SMA Islam Plus Adzkia through a campus outreach session and discussions on potential collaboration to enhance students’ readiness for higher education.

The Directorate of Education Development of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from SMA Islam Plus Adzkia on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the USU campus. The activity aimed to introduce various academic programs, faculties, as well as academic and non-academic services available at USU to the students.


During the outreach session, the Director of Education Development, Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., delivered information regarding the range of study programs offered, faculty profiles, and student support facilities, including the career center, student activity programs, and integrated academic services.


This visit served not only as a platform for information sharing but also as a means to strengthen relations between USU and its partner schools. Representing SMA Islam Plus Adzkia were Chairman of the Foundation Ismanuddin, M.Hum., Principal of the Tuasan Campus Wahyudi, M.M., Principal of the Iskandar Muda Campus Fachrizal Barus, S.Pd., Gr., M.Sc., and Vice Principal for Student Affairs Harun Nazmi Akbar, M.H. The meeting also discussed potential collaboration opportunities to improve students’ preparation for entering higher education.


“Through this activity, USU aims to broaden students’ insights into university life at an early stage and provide a clear picture of the opportunities they can pursue in the future,” Ikhsan conveyed.


SMA Islam Plus Adzkia expressed appreciation for USU’s warm welcome and hoped that the collaboration could continue through educational visits and academic mentoring programs.


This visit reaffirmed USU’s commitment as a higher education institution that actively builds synergy with schools to expand access to higher education information and support the development of outstanding future generations.
