On Saturday (March 22, 2025), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) participated in the Sharing Session "Explore Top Universities," organized by Bank Indonesia in collaboration with the Riau Provincial Education Office. The event aimed to provide senior high school (SMA/SMK) students insights into university admissions pathways, faculties, and available study programs at leading Indonesian universities.
This session was part of the "Try Out Akbar: Towards the Campus of Your Dreams" series, which focused on education and preparation for the 2025 SNBT (National Test-Based Selection). During the event, high school students received information on topics such as the CBP Rupiah Training of Trainers, digital payment transaction systems, and consumer protection while understanding top university options in Indonesia.
As one of Indonesia's top universities, USU participated in the sharing session alongside other renowned institutions, including Universitas Riau (UNRI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Telkom University (TELKOM), Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), and Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP).
During his presentation, Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, ST., M.Eng., Director of Education Development at USU, provided information on university admission tracks, flagship faculties and study programs, academic strengths, and opportunities for new students. The event served as a valuable platform for Riau's high school students to understand their higher education options better and develop effective strategies for succeeding in the 2025 SNBT.
This sharing session encouraged participants to stay motivated in pursuing their dreams of studying at Indonesia's top universities.
