The Directorate of Education Development organized the briefing for KKN-T participants on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Auditorium of the USU Faculty of Nursing. This activity marked the initial phase before students are deployed to carry out community service in Karo Regency.
The session featured Mahatir Muhammad, S.Farm., M.Si., Apt., Manager of Educational Assessment and Development, who delivered material on KKN-T implementation preparation, student roles, and strategies for delivering tangible contributions to the community. The theme for this semester’s program is “Developing Villages with TALENTA.”
Further direction was provided by Dr. Zulfan S.S., M.Hum., Coordinator of KKN-T USU. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of responsibility, discipline, and teamwork throughout the program to ensure optimal achievement in fulfilling the mission of community service.
This year’s KKN-T program focuses on student service activities in Karo Regency, aligned with the spirit of “Kampus Berdampak.” Through this initiative, students are expected not only to apply their academic knowledge but also to provide real solutions to challenges faced by local communities.
With this briefing, students are expected to be well-prepared to carry out their service with strong dedication and deliver meaningful benefits for the people of Karo Regency.
