Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially dispatched the participants of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN-T) “Kampus Berdampak” for the Odd Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026 on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the front yard of the USU Rectorate Building.
In his remarks, USU Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A., stated that the KKN-T program serves as a concrete implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in community service. He also symbolically sent off the students who will carry out their service duties in Karo Regency.
The send-off ceremony was also attended by the Regent of Karo, Brigjen Pol (Ret.) Dr. dr. Antonius Ginting, Sp.OG., M.Kes., who expressed support and encouragement for the students. In his appreciation and briefing, he conveyed his hope that the presence of USU students would deliver tangible contributions to village communities in Karo Regency.
The KKN-T participants will serve in several villages within Karo Regency, focusing on activities that support regional development and community empowerment.
