To support the implementation of the Out-of-Study Program Learning (PLPS) for the 2026/2027 Odd Semester, the Directorate of Educational Development of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a virtual orientation session on Tuesday (July 14).
The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.; Vice Deans for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations; Heads of Study Programs; PLPS Coordinators; Internship Program Coordinators; Community Service-Thematic Program (KKN-T) Coordinators; and Student Independent Learning (SIL) Coordinators from various faculties across USU.
In his opening remarks, the Director of the Directorate of Educational Development, Prof. Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si., emphasized that the successful implementation of the PLPS requires strong coordination among all relevant units to ensure that each program is carried out effectively and provides meaningful learning experiences for students.
In addition to serving as an information-sharing forum, the orientation was also designed to establish a common understanding of the PLPS implementation process, covering administrative procedures through to program execution. Through this activity, all stakeholders involved in the implementation of PLPS are expected to strengthen coordination and align their understanding, ensuring that the 2026/2027 Odd Semester program is implemented effectively and achieves its intended objectives.
