The Directorate of Educational Development of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted an Orientation for the Preparation of the 2026/2027 Odd Semester via Zoom Meeting on Tuesday (July 14).

The virtual session was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni Relations, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.; the university's deans; heads and secretaries of study programs; and coordinators responsible for the Compulsory Curriculum Courses (MKWK), Basic Disciplinary Courses (MKDK), and University Compulsory Courses (MKWU).

The event commenced with opening remarks by the Director of the Directorate of Educational Development, Prof. Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si. In his address, he emphasized the importance of strong coordination and synergy among the Directorate of Educational Development, faculties, study programs, and course coordinators to ensure the smooth implementation of academic activities during the 2026/2027 Odd Semester.

Through this orientation, participants received comprehensive information regarding preparations for the upcoming semester, including the implementation of courses, academic procedures, and various technical aspects that need to be understood before the commencement of classes.

The orientation is expected to establish a shared understanding among all stakeholders, ensuring that the 2026/2027 Odd Semester is conducted smoothly, systematically, and in accordance with the university's academic regulations.
