The Directorate of Educational Development at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum at the IMTGT Room, 2nd Floor, USU Rectorate Building. The event was attended by Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs from various faculties across USU as part of the university's efforts to strengthen the implementation of a learning outcomes-based curriculum.

The FGD was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) as a strategic approach to improving the quality of teaching and learning while producing graduates who are competent and well-equipped to meet the needs of the workforce and industry.

The event featured Prof. Ir. Maya Sarah, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., who delivered a presentation on the concepts of Course Learning Outcomes (CLO) assessment and evaluation within the implementation of OBE. This was followed by presentations from Dewi Maya Sari Situmorang and Nurrahmadayeni, who explained the mechanisms for implementing the OBE system across Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Through this activity, the Directorate of Educational Development hopes that the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum in all study programs will be optimized, thereby supporting continuous improvements in the quality of teaching and learning while producing graduates who are excellent, adaptable, and responsive to the needs of stakeholders.
