The Directorate of Education Development of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) took part in the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) on Digital Learning Development using a Learning Management System (LMS), organized by Medan Aviation Polytechnic on October 20, 2025, at the Medan Aviation Polytechnic Campus.

Through several presentation sessions, he delivered key topics, including:

  • The concept and urgency of digital learning and LMS, covering e-learning, hybrid learning, and blended learning.

  • Core functions and key features of LMS, including course management, assessment, interaction, and student learning progress tracking.

  • The impact of LMS on accreditation and learning quality, particularly how LMS serves as a quality indicator and accreditation evidence for BAN-PT/LAM.

  • A case study on LMS implementation at Universitas Sumatera Utara, highlighting best practices of kelas.usu.ac.id and its integration with USU’s academic systems.

This activity marked a form of collaboration between Universitas Sumatera Utara and Medan Aviation Polytechnic in supporting digital transformation in higher education. Through USU’s active participation, it is expected that the development of digital learning systems across various institutions will continue to advance, enabling innovative, adaptive, and quality-oriented learning processes.
