The Directorate of Educational Development of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activity for the implementation of the Kuliah Kerja Nyata-Tematik (KKN-T) Kampus Berdampak Program for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year in Langkat Regency on Thursday (19/06/2026).
The activity aimed to monitor the progress of students’ community engagement programs and ensure that the implementation of KKN-T was aligned with its intended objectives. A total of 11 KKN-T student groups assigned to various locations across Langkat Regency participated in the monitoring process.
The monitoring and evaluation were carried out by the KKN-T Management Team, Field Supervising Lecturers (DPL), and staff members from the Directorate of Educational Development. During the visits, the team directly observed the various programs implemented by students, engaged in discussions with KKN-T participants, and identified challenges encountered in the field.
Through this activity, USU expects the KKN-T program to provide meaningful experiential learning opportunities for students while also generating tangible benefits for local communities through initiatives that align with regional needs and the spirit of the Kampus Berdampak (Impactful Campus) program.
The monitoring and evaluation process also serves as an important mechanism for assessing program effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that community service activities continue to create sustainable and positive impacts for society.
