Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) hosted the Dissemination of the National Apprenticeship Program and the Public Consultation of the Employment Outlook Document, organized by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was held on Tuesday (18/11/2025) in the Academic Senate Room, 3rd Floor of the USU Rectorate Bureau, and was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and students.
The event began with remarks from the Secretary of the Directorate of Educational Development, Dr. Joiverdia Arifiyanto, SH., MH. Following this, the team from the Manpower Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower delivered the Dissemination of the National Apprenticeship Program, followed by a presentation on the Employment Outlook. Through this event, the Ministry of Manpower and USU aim to strengthen collaboration in enhancing student and graduate competencies as well as work readiness.
The next session was the presentation of the Employment Outlook, also delivered by the Ministry of Manpower team. The material outlined projections of Indonesia’s employment conditions, future skill requirements, and the government’s policy direction in responding to transformations in the world of work.
Through this activity, USU hopes that students and graduates will gain the latest insights into internship opportunities and national employment dynamics, while also strengthening synergy between the university and the government.
