PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) held a graduation ceremony for Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) students who completed their Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) internship program at the company. The event occurred at the Theater Room, 7th Floor, Building B, Pelindo Multi Terminal Headquarters, Grha Pelindo Belawan, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
This graduation marked the conclusion of the MBKM internship program, a collaborative initiative between Pelindo Multi Terminal and USU. In his opening remarks, Mr. Edi Priyanto, Director of Human Resources at SPMT, expressed deep appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm and contributions throughout the internship.
Also in attendance was the Head of the Management Study Program at USU, Prof. Dr. Khaira Amalia Fachrudin, SE, Ak., MBA, who praised the synergy between academia and industry. She emphasized that such internship programs offer invaluable real-world experience for students as they prepare to navigate the challenges of an ever-evolving job market. Mahatir Muhammad, S.Farm., M.Si., Apt., Manager of Education Research and Development at USU, also attended in support of the program.
The event was attended by USU academic staff and PT Pelindo Multi Terminal’s management representatives, who celebrated the achievements of the students who had participated in the program over the past few months. As a subsidiary of the state-owned Pelindo, Pelindo Multi Terminal continues demonstrating its commitment to the MBKM program by providing hands-on, collaborative learning environments.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the students and a group photo session, serving as a token of appreciation and a memento of the successful partnership between higher education and industry.
