Universitas Sumatera Utara welcomed the Evaluator Team and Secretariat Team of the Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka (PKKM) during the monitoring and evaluation visit of the first year of the PKKM Program. The activity occurred at the Digital Learning Building Center (DLCB) on September 16-19, 2024.
The Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka is one of the programs issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) to support campus policies. The monitoring and evaluation activity aims to evaluate the progress of program implementation, identify obstacles, and provide input for the smooth implementation of the program and the realization of funds that the Universitas Sumatera Utara achieved during the 2024 fiscal period.
Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, admitted that several challenges still must be faced. "We hope that this evaluation can encourage all of us to continue to move forward to develop the potential of the campus and make a real contribution to the progress of the nation and state," said Prof. Muryanto.
Dr. Muhammad Anggia Muchtar S.T., MM.IT., Head of the Priority Program Evaluation Agency, explained, "One of the challenges is the budget for students who take part in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, the budget for transportation, incentives, and other needs that must be carefully prepared." Universitas Sumatera Utara must prepare assistance for students for at least four months, but even though this challenge is quite large, the MBKM program activities are very helpful in developing student capacity.
With great hope, the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara and all parties involved hope that this monitoring and evaluation results can provide good future results for Universitas Sumatera Utara.
