Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) welcomed an educational visit from SMA Edu Global Medan on Monday, 2 February 2026. The activity took place at the Video Conference Room, 4th Floor, Rectorate Building of Universitas Sumatera Utara, and formed part of USU’s efforts to introduce senior high school students to higher education.
The visit was officially received by representatives of the Directorate of Educational Development, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Those in attendance included the Director of Educational Development USU, Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., the Secretary of Educational Development, Dr. Joiverdia Arifiyanto, S.H., M.H., and the Manager of Educational Services Development, Dr. Pauzi Ibrahim Nainggolan, S.Komp., M.Sc.
Meanwhile, the delegation from SMA Edu Global Medan was led by the Principal, Dilla Pastry Nentika, S.Pd., accompanied by the Vice Principal, Aulia Rahmi Lubis, M.Pd., supervising teachers, as well as students of SMA Edu Global Medan.
In their welcoming remarks, representatives of the Directorate of Educational Development USU expressed appreciation for the visit and conveyed their hope that the activity would provide a comprehensive overview of the university environment, the higher education learning system, as well as the various study programs and educational services available at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The visit featured a presentation session on the profile of Universitas Sumatera Utara, an introduction to educational development programs, and an interactive discussion that allowed students to directly ask questions about university life and opportunities to pursue further studies at USU.
Through this activity, it is expected that students of SMA Edu Global Medan will gain broader insights and stronger motivation to continue their education at the university level, and consider Universitas Sumatera Utara as one of their main choices for future studies.
