Universitas Sumatera Utara is one of 25 state universities participating in SMM-PTN West Regional of 2024, which will be held from June 27 - July 05, 2024. The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., explained that SMM PTN-West is a consortium independent test for state universities that are members of the West Region of State Universities Cooperation Agency (BKS), which is state universities on the island of Sumatra and the western part of Java.
The total number of applicants for SMM PTN-West 2024 is 24,670 applicants. Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., said, “SMM PTN-West has been implemented for a long time and was attended by 25 state universities in the western region. Starting from Aceh to parts of Jakarta and West Java”. Only 268 students will be accepted at the Universitas Sumatera Utara through SMM-PTN West Regional. This is because two independent ways will still be open for registration, namely the Talent Excellence Achievement-Based Selection (SBPU TALENTA) and the Universitas Sumatera Utara Independent Student Admission (SMM).
